Coach Demareon Johnson, a proud graduate of Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was selected to the All-State Team in 2001. He continued his basketball journey at Northern Junior College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma (2002–2004) before transferring to the University of the Incarnate Word, where he played from 2004–2006.
As the driving force behind Smoke Chasers Basketball Inc., Coach Johnson has built a program founded on passion, discipline, and heart. His mission is simple to push every player to reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Known for his relentless energy and unwavering belief in his players, Coach Johnson has created a winning culture where hard work meets opportunity. Under his leadership, Smoke Chasers athletes have competed on major platforms such as the Adidas and New Balance circuits, proving that dedication and teamwork can open every door.
But for Coach Johnson, it’s about more than basketball it’s about building character, confidence, and leadership in young men and women who are ready to chase greatness in every aspect of life.
His motto: “We don’t run from the smoke — we chase it.”
